An equipotential surface is a surface where every point has the same electric potential.


Properties:


1. Constant potential: Every point on the surface has the same electric potential.

2. No work done: No work is done in moving a charge along an equipotential surface.

3. Perpendicular to electric field: Equipotential surfaces are perpendicular to electric field lines.
